UPCOMING CAMPS

Bronko Hockey March Break Camp

Monday, March 12- Thursday, March 15, 2012
Vic Johnston Arena, Streetsville

9am-1pm daily
Includes 2 hours on-ice instruction and 2 hours off-ice training

In the first hour on ice we cover the fundamentals to ensure players
are using proper technique before increasing speed.  Throughout the
week, we progress onto more advanced skating techniques and
introduce pucks.  By the end of the week, players are performing
complex skills in control of the puck at high speeds.  In the second
hour we split into smaller groups and cover game situations so
players learn how and when to use their skills in different game
situations that commonly occur.  The competition is fun and teaches
players to make good decisions under pressure.

During off-ice training players will work on their puck skills and will
be introduced to dynamic warm up routines and body weight
movement patterns that help build strength, flexibility and
co-ordination.

Price: $260.  Includes Bronko Hockey jersey.

DELL Hockey Summer Camp 2011 Sponsored by Bronko Hockey

Monday, August 15- Friday, August 19, 2011
Vic Johnston Arena, Streetsville

9am-4pm daily
Includes 3 hours of on-ice instruction and 3 hours off-ice training

In the first hour and a half on-ice session, we work on skating and puck skills. We progress throughout the week from the fundamentals to advanced edgework and puck protection skills. Players go through a range of exercises which develop skating agility, balance and power both with and without the puck.  In the second hour and a half on-ice session we apply the skills we've been working on to game-type situations so players learn to read the play as it develops and apply their skills effectively.  DELL Hockey has been running camps for over 10 years teaching players "to think the game." The focus on game situations and read and react skills is the perfect complement to the skills development Bronko Hockey has become known for. The camp provides "one-stop shopping" for players who want to work on their hands, footwork and brain!

Weekly Skills Development Skates

Saturday and Sunday mornings through May and June.
Vic Johnston Arena, Streetsville

Quick feet and quick hands are developed through personalized player feedback and a progression of drills that challenge the player to become faster and more efficient in their movements.  One hour of edgework, agility and quickness with and without the puck helps players attack confidently and protect the puck effectively.  It's amazing how much a player can improve in a short period of time when you show them what's possible and give them the confidence to try.

Players are grouped according to age/ability.  Approx.10 skaters/ group. Call for availability and pricing.

Players will feel comfortable and confident heading into try-outs, ready to make an impression.

2010 Christmas Camp

Monday, December 20- Thursday, December 23, 2010
Erin Mills Twin Rinks, Mississauga
8am-12noon daily                                         complete1
Includes 2 hours of on-ice instruction and 2 hours off-ice training

Our Christmas Camp is a great way to build your player's confidence
heading into the new year.  We'll work on many of the individual skills
that can get overlooked by coaches during the season.  We start with
the basics by working on balance and footwork showing players the
edge control necessary to perform at high speed.  Then we work on
developing better quickness and agility using Bronko Hockey's
patented on-ice training belts.  Finally we ramp up the tempo and
introduce pucks so players learn to perform at high speed while
maintaining control of the puck. Our Chistmas Camp crash course
in quick hands and quick feet is a fun and effective way to make sure
your player starts the second half of the season confident and in top form.

March Break Skills Camp
for Bantam, Midget and Junior Players

Monday, March 15- Friday, March 19, 2010
Vic Johnston Arena, Streetsville
9am-10:30am      Bantam/Midget              complete1
10:30am-12noon  Junior

The focus will be on developing soft hands and quick feet. We'll work on
puck control, puck protection, passing and goal scoring. Part of each
skate will also include using the Bronko Belt and working on acceleration
and agility with the puck. As always, we'll keep the tempo high and
incorporate many competitive drills which simulate game-type situations
so players get used to performing at top speed.

There will be a limit of 12 skaters and 2 goalies per group so there will
be lots of ice time and reps.  It's a good skate to keep your skills sharp
and confidence up heading into tryouts and junior camps.
